How do I deploy my site?
We have various Hosting Packages:
We can offer full hosting of your url or we can offer a cheaper alternative of yoursite.ownwersownsite.com.

I have a website can you redesign it?
We would be happy to replace your existing site with one of our specialist designs, however, if you have a more complex requirement we would be more than happy to discuss your needs with you as we have a highly experienced bespoke software development capability.

Can I use my own domain name (e.g. www.mydomain.com)

When do I pay for my site?
We only ask for payment when we have completed your site and you can view it online. Once we have received payment we will set your site live using your chosen hosting method.

What's the payment process?
Once you have viewed and approved your site we will send you a paypal invoice which you can settle using either a credit card/debit card or paypal account.

Are there any hidden extras?
With ownersownsite there are no hidden extras. It will be completely transparent as to how much your site will cost before you spend a penny.

Are there any ongoing costs for my property website?
Once your site has been up and running for 12 months, there may be additional charges. If the hosting of the site is with ownersownsite there will be a hosting charge. If you require ongoing support there will be an annual charge.

How long will it take to build and publish?
We would look to have your site ready for final proof reading within 7 days of receipt of your completed copy.

I have multiple properties is there a website for me?
Within the Elite range which is coming soon there is a website specifically for multiple properties. However, at this moment in time we can only offer a multiple property site through our bespoke service.

I have a guesthouse/hotel is there a website for me?
All our websites are appropriate for guesthouses and hotels provided the copy fits within the website framework.

Can I have a gallery of images?
All our sites provide an opportunity to display photographs of your property. The style of the gallery changes from level to level and theme to theme.

Can you provide photographs?
Within the build of some of our sites we do include royalty paid stock photography, this is included in the purchase price. The images of your property must be provided by yourselves. We can provide further royalty paid stock photographs e.g. of the locale at a further cost.

Do you offer a service to take photographs of my holiday home for use on the website?
No we do not offer this service.

Can I put links to other sites?
The copy is provided by yourselves, if you include links in the copy we will insert them as requested as long as these are relevant to the purpose of the website.

Can you design a logo for me?
We can create a logo for you as we have experienced qualified graphic designers at our disposal. This service would be charged separately from the website. Please complete the enquiry form on the contact us page for a specific quotation.

Can you help with writing the text?
At this moment in time, we do not offer this service.

Can you provide website translation?
We have the resource available to facilitate this in certain languages. Please enquire with your specific requirements.

I have some add ons I would like to include e.g. flight finder, weather information - can you do this?
We will not source add ons but if they are included (with relevant embedded code) these can be included, as long as these are appropriate to the purpose of the website.

My property has accreditations i.e. AA recognised - can these logos be included?
Yes these accreditations are vital to ensure your property fulfils its maximum potential. Please include all relevant accreditation and scheme membership details within your copy.

I have an ownersownsite. Can you update my site?
Within the first 12 months of purchase of your site we continue to support you by making any amendments to the site which are required to keep it current and up to date e.g. if you were to change your published rates or your telephone number. This service is free of charge for the first 12 months.

Can I update my site?
Our predeveloped site range currently does not have a customer managed content option. However, we would be more than happy to discuss this requirement on an individual site basis.

Will I be able to add pages at a later date?
You cannot add pages to every style of website, however, for the multi page styles there are options to add additional pages.

Can I make changes or additions to my website after it is up and running?

Can I change the look of my website? i.e. switch from Cotswold to Loire. If so how much will this cost?
The theme of a site can be changed within a style, this will be chargeable.

I want to upgrade to the next level how much will this cost me?
At ownersownsite we have a clear policy on upgrade. Because we recognise that people may want to start small and grow we will upgrade your site on a cost difference basis. So if you want a site from our premium range at £149 and you already have a core site at £99 we will only charge you the £50 difference in the price to upgrade.

Can I move to another host?
We provide a number of hosting options. The cost of hosting either with ourselves or a third party is included in the purchase price. If you wish to change this arrangement there will be a charge.

Do you offer ecommerce?
Within our standard range we currently do not include an ecommerce solution. If you have a specific ecommerce requirement we will be happy to discuss this on an individual basis.

Can I see how the website is performing?
Within the purchase price of the site quarterly comprehensive traffic logs are included. If you require these at a higher frequency, there will be a small additional charge.

Can you help with the promotion of the website?
Our sites are designed with header tags which are ready for search engine optimisation. Promotion and advertising of a specific site is the responsibility of the Client. Within the first 12 months under our policy of minor changes we would change your meta tags without any further charge.

Will search engines be able to find my website?
All our sites are built with header tags viewable by search engines. The promotion of individual sites is the Client's responsibility.

Will I have to do anything to maintain my site once my website is up and running?
Provided your property information remains current there is no requirement to maintain your site.
|

I know nothing about computers and don't understand the terminology. Can you help?
We have two ways in which we can help, firstly we have a glossary page which will explain the terminology used within our site. Secondly we pride ourselves on giving a high level of customer service, so even if you know nothing about computers and in fact don't want to please call us we'll explain everything in very simple language and make sure you have a website to be proud of.

Do you offer technical support?
Yes all of our sites are technically supported.

How do I send the photographs to you?
Ideally photographs would be sent by email attachment. However, we would also accept images sent on disk.

How do I send the text to you?
Ideally text would be sent by email attachment. However, we would also accept text sent on disk.

Can I send you the written text through the post?
We can copy type from written text, however, this is a time consuming and chargeable extra and will be charged fairly by the hour.

Can I send the photographs and text to you on a disk?
Yes the photographs and text can be sent on a disk.

Can I upload my information to you?
Currently this facility is not available.

What are the ongoing costs after my website's 1st year?
In order to continue with your website you will need to renew your hosting agreement. In addition you may want to pay for continued amendment management and technical support. The cost for these facilities will at the published rate at the time of renewal. If you choose not to renew your amendment management and technical support options these facilities will still be available to you, however, will be charged at an hourly rate at the price published on our site at the time these services are requested.

I no longer need my ownersownsite. How do I delete it?
The process for the deletion of a site will vary dependent on the hosting package chosen. Normally there is no charge for this service. Deletion of a site will require a specific request from yourself which we will validate against the original order to prevent any malicious deletion.
